Manufacturer
Beaver became the club's kit manufacturer for the first time.
Main Sponsors
Mansfield Bitter continued as the club's shirt sponsor.
For this season the club moved to manufacturer Beaver who produced a rather classy full amber kit with blue accents.
The pattern ran through the shirt into the shorts and is still considered one of the best kits the club has had.
Interestingly for the first game of the season and for the club team photo yellow socks were worn before almost exclusively wearing blue for the rest of the season, this is why yellow socks are shown here as it seems to have been the original intent for the kit.
The first (and only) away kit produced by Beaver was a white shirt with blue double pinstripes.
It was a rather simple design but very effective and liked by the fans.
An incredibly interesting design this one which had a very similar pattern to that season on the Activity goalkeeper shirt worn in 1994/95 albeit in completely different colours.
The pattern looks more akin to a 90's carpet than a football shirt but was worn for the majority of matches.
It was debuted in the final two games of the 1995/96 season but had a round collar which was replaced with a full one for this season.
This goalkeeper kit was the same as worn the previous season, it was also worn with the previous season's sleeve patches.
When the club forgot Mansfield goalkeeper Ian Bowling's shirt for a trip to Northampton they had to improvise with this Lotto manufacturered rather interesting un-symetrical Northampton goalkeeper shirt.
