Kit Details

Manufacturer

Russell Athletic became the club's shirt manufacturer for the first time.

Main Sponsors

Local newspaper AD-MAG became home shirt sponsor part way through the season.

GMB became the away shirt sponsor part way through the season.

Home Kit & Variations

Russell Athletic's first attempt at a Mansfield shirt came in a rather simple sponsor-less design much simpler than the previous few shirts worn by the club in past seasons. It continued the recent tradition of amber shorts with blue socks but an all yellow version was also worn on multiple occasions.

The club found a sponsor in December which was then worn for the rest of the season.

Away Kit & Variations

This shirt was seen as rather controversial at the time and still is to a degree today. It was seen as too close to fierce rivals Chesterfield's traditional blue and white kit and for that reason became unpopular with fans.

It was mainly worn as an all blue kit despite being shown in the squad photo at the start of the season with white shorts. As with the home shirt a sponsored version (albeit a different sponsor to the home one) was introduced in December and worn from then on.

Goalkeeper Kit - Home & Variations

As a first set of goalkeeper kits made by Russell Athletic this was by far the most interesting design.

This horizontally striped design featured a rather bright, almost fluorescent colour in stark contrast to the black rest of the shirt.

The 'AD-MAG' sponsor was added part way through the season.

It has been classed as the home design for this website but was worn both home and away.

Goalkeeper Kit - Away & Variations

This rather simple mainly green design was worn alongside the striped design in both home and away matches.

Goalkeeper Kit - Alternate & Variations

This mainly red design followed the same template as the green design.

The sponsor was added mid-season but the away GMB sponsor was added instead of the 'AD-MAG' one added to other kits. It was worn however alongside both the home and away kit.
