No sponsor was present this season.

Home Kit & Variations

This was Russell Athletic's second attempt at a Mansfield home shirt and it couldn't have been more different to the previous season's shirt. This unsponsored shirt featured a 'waffle' type material which felt rather uncomfortable to wear and had never been seen before (or again since).

It was worn with blue shorts which weirdly had two different versions, one with the traditional Mansfield badge but also one with the badge replaced with 'STAGS' wording. Strangely both versions were worn concurrently in matches with players having both versions worn during the same game. These were paired with a light/mustard yellow plain sock.

For a handful of games where a blue short clash occurred the Stags wore a pair of yellow shorts which were a reverse of the 'STAGS' logo'd blue shorts. Strangely for a trip to Rochdale in November, last seasons blue socks were worn with the yellow shorts which didn't make sense as the home side also wore blue socks so the regular yellow socks would have been fine. Maybe they forgot them?

Away Kit

This kit was the first time the club had worn purple so made for an interesting choice. as with the home shirt it didn't feature a sponsor.

It was worn exclusively with matching white shorts and purple/white socks. Interestingly the shorts, as with a variety of home shorts, had the word 'STAGS' printed on in lieu of the clubs badge.

Goalkeeper Kits - Home

This rather simple green template GK shirt was worn both home and away along with the same template red version below.

For a home game against Swansea the shorts from the red kit were worn with the Green shirt along with red socks. What makes this particular game standout is that Swansea wore a red away kit so there seems no rational reason for the green trimmed shorts and black socks not to be worn, another Mansfield kit mystery!

Interestingly due to the design on the back of the shirt goalkeeper Ian Bowling's name had to be printed on a curve rather than flat as with the home and away shirts.

Goalkeeper Kits - Away

As with the Green version, this red shirt was worn both home and away throughout the season being worn with both black and red socks.
