Kit Details

Manufacturer

Official MTFC Merchandise (Club Made).

Main Sponsors

Thorworld joined as shirt sponsor in December of 2000 and was used for the remainder of the season on all shirts.

Home Kit & Variations

Following a two year stint with Russell Athletic the club decided to produce the shirts in house under the guise of 'Official MTFC Merchandise'.

This was the first shirt produced and it featured a silkier material compared to the 'waffle type' material of the previous season. It featured an actual collar with button which hadn't been seen since the early 1990's.

The club started the season without a sponsor but local company Thor-World were added from December onwards.

Away Kit & Variations

The away shirt featured the same material as the home shirt but featured a different pattern with blocks of claret added to the sides as opposed to piping as well as a different collar.

As with the home shirt the sponsor was added part-way through the season.

Goalkeeper Kits - Home & Variations

The first set of in house goalkeeper shirts were made of a mesh like patterned material which would be used for four consecutive seasons in varying colours.

This particular shirt was green with the sponsor added part-way through the season.

The claret shorts were worn for an away game against Lincoln, the reasons for this are unknown as Lincoln's shorts did not clash with the usual black shorts.

Goalkeeper Kits - Away & Variations

This grey shirt featured the same material as the green shirt.

Sponsor was added part-way through the season.

Opponents Kit - Plymouth

For a trip to Plymouth the club perhaps forgot that Plymouth's usual Green shirt had been replaced that season with a white home shirt which clashed with the Stag's away kit.

The Plymouth away kit was drafted in with the Stags wearing their own away socks which were used with Plymouth's shirt and shorts.

The Mansfield goalkeeper kit was worn as usual.
