Main Sponsors
Perry Electrical became the club's sponsor for the first time.
The home shirt for this season was a silky material featuring limited flashes of blue.
Plain white shorts were worn for an away trip to Rochdale with both the Stag's home and away shorts clashing with Rochdale's blue shorts.
The away shirt was a lighter material the previous seasons and was a full light blue kit.
It was originally released to supporters sponsorless but always featured a sponsor when used in games.
The goalkeeping kits followed the same style and pattern of shirt as the previous two seasons but with a different colour set. This home version saw a light, almost turquoise, blue colour used which was paired at the start of the season with matching shorts and socks.
Later on in the season it was predominantly worn with non-club badges black shorts and socks which appear to have been sourced by goalkeeper Kevin Pilkington. On one occasion it was worn with the away goalkeeper kit's shorts and the socks from the previous season's away kit.
The away goalkeeper kit was the same template as the home but with the colours reversed. Towards the end of the season it was worn more commonly with the same blue shorts but with white socks.
A green goalkeeper kit was worn away at Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup second round and despite footage of it being used available I am yet to determine which shirt it is.
My best guess is that it is the green goalkeeper shirt from the previous season (see 2002/03) but this is yet to be confirmed via a clear image. Once this is done this section will be updated.
This rather fetching Orange goalkeeper kit was manufactured by goalkeeper Kevin Pilkington's glove supplier, Selsport. It was originally required to overcome a kit clash with the two blue GK kits in a home FA cup replay against Wycombe.
It was then worn again at home against Bristol Rovers to overcome a similar situation. It was also worn with two different socks combinations in its two appearances.
For the play-off final the club opted to wear the new shirt for the following 2004/05 season manufactured by Garman.
It ended in disaster with the club losing on penalties to Huddersfield.
The goalkeeper shirt was never used again.
