Kit Details

Manufacturer

Surridge continued as the clubs kit manufacturer.

Main Sponsors

One Call continued as the clubs home shirt sponsor which also appeared on the rear of the away shirt.

OCL continued as away shirt sponsor & were also confirmed as 22/23 away sponsor as seen on the 22/23 kit launch worn away at Salford.

Secondary Sponsors

Dukeries Homes, owned by one of the club's directors, became the rear of home shirt sponsor for the first time.

Local company Fortis became the clubs rear of short sponsor for the first time.

Home Kit

This seasons home shirt featured a subtle 3D triangle pattern and saw the return of blue sleeves on a home shirt for the first time since 2012/13.

For the first time in a number of seasons the players and supporters shirts were exactly the same.

Away Kit & Variations

As with recent club tradition the away kit from the previous season was used again.

The only variation saw the home socks worn away against Harrogate due to a clash with the home side's black socks.

Goalkeeper Kits - Home

This goalkeeper's kit was worn the most throughout the season and featured the same pattern as the home shirt.

Goalkeeper Kits - Away

This goalkeepers kit featured a rather bright orange colour scheme.

FA Cup

The FA Cup patch changed slightly compared to the previous season donning the '150 years' wording under the competition logo signifying the 150th anniversary of the competition.

The away shirt was worn in both rounds prior to eventual third round defeat at home to Middlesborough in the home shirt. No other patches were worn when the FA Cup patch was used. Due to torrential rain in the third round tie against Middlesborough many of the players played the second half in league shirts donning the usual Skybet patches on each arm.

Charity Variation

In a rearranged home game against Grimsby Town the club wore alternate socks with the home kit in support of a Downs Syndrome charity. This was the first occasion this had been done.

The socks came from the 2019/20 third kit.

22/23 Kit Launch

For the final away league game of the regular season the kits for the 22/23 season were worn against Salford in a game shown live on Sky Sports.

No short sponsor was present with these kits in this game and the 'Not Today or Any Day' patches were also missing.

Play off Semi Finals

For the semi final matches against Northampton the club wore bespoke play-off patches and the usual Sktbet message was replaced by one with the message 'Take Time to Think'. This would be worn again in the final and the following league season.

Play Off Final

The same play off final patches from the semi final were used but the club had match specific wording added to the front of both shirts detailing the event, teams, venue & date.

Unfortunately defeat came by 3 goals to nil against Port Vale.
