The introduction of Castore saw the first change of manufacturer at Mansfield for 11 years. They opened with a retro looking home shirt along with two other kits seeing the club have an official third kit for the first time since 2019/20. Small tags appeared on each shirt with a unique code for each shirt produced.
Main Sponsors
One Call continued their long standing main sponsorship of the clubs home shirt.
OCL were once again present on the away shirt.
A new sponsor for 2023/24 saw local company ICS come in to sponsor the Third shirt.
Foodhub became the clubs first ever sleeve sponsor appearing on all shirts. A red and white based version was worn on different shirts.
Secondary Sponsors
A Wass transitioned from sponsoring the back of the shorts for all kits to appearing on the back of the home shirt.
AGG were added partway through the season and appeared on the back of the away and third shirts positioned underneath the number, the first time this had happened in that position since 2007/08.
A new sponsor for 2023/24 saw A Woodland & Son added to the rear of the shorts.
This season was the first with new manufacturer Castore and it led to a shirt seemingly designed around the 1989/90 shirt by Scoreline. Only this time the subtle stripes on the shirt ran diagonally instead of the original vertical lines.
The first Castore attempt at an away shirt saw the club return to a fully red shirt for the first time since 1988/89.The shirt was actually worn 2 times less than the third shirt despite the red shirt being an available option in all games where yellow was a clash.
The club returned to having an official third shirt for the first time since 2019/20. In the end it was worn more than the away shirt despite not seeing action until November. It was then worn a further 7 times. The two central stripes is not a design seen before at Mansfield but the Green sponsor unfortunately didn’t quite match the rest of the design.
The official release of the designated home GK shirt was a blue design with the same pattern as the home shirt.
Due to delays in getting the other 2 goalkeeper shirts the club were forced to add the away and third sponsor (in black) to the home GK shirt seeing 3 different variations of the same shirt worn.
The away and third sponsored versions of this shirt had the added AGG sponsor on the rear whereas the original One Call sponsored version had the same rear sponsor as the home shirt.
The away GK was shown off at the same time as the blue home GK shirt but stock seemingly barely arrived at the club. The shirt wasn’t worn until a New Years day game away at Stockport. It was only worn a further 2 times away at Wimbledon and Barrow.
The third GK shirt was worn significantly more than the third kit with it becoming a regular option at home with the One Call Insurance sponsor on.
The official third version with the ICS sponsor was actually only used once away at Newport.
FA Cup patches returned this season but this time the club had the sleeve sponsor on the left arm, previous seasons had seen one arm blank when FA Cup patches were worn.
The Stags lost at home to Wrexham in the first round.
For the first time in the club’s history the Stags wore the competition specific league cup patches donning the sponsor ‘Carabao’.
These were worn in all games where the club reached the fourth round for the first time in 48 years eventually losing at home to Port Vale.
For the third consecutive season the club had a dedicated charity fixture where alternate socks were worn in support of a Downs Syndrome charity.
The game chosen was a televised home game against Colchester.
